In early January 09, Renaissance Agoura Hills Hotel contacted ChessHouse about the possibility of placing a giant chess set in their lobby for a month with the idea of holding a small tournament for guests. ChessHouse provided Renaissance with a set of giant pieces for the hotel’s lobby floor.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, and clientele were thrilled beyond expectations. Helen T. of the Renaissance reported that guests were playing with the giant pieces constantly during the month that Renaissance rented the giant set.
